U10 Hurlers Finish Indoor League in Third Place
Well done to our U10 hurlers who finished third in Division 2 of the North Antrim Indoor League last Saturday.
Forty six teams from five counties competed at seven divisional venues. All Saints qualified for Division Two after finishing top of their section the previous week.
Initially things looked ominous when All Saints had a shaky start in their first game against Glenarm. They conceded an early goal just after the throw in which unsettled them. Glenarm scored another two goals before the lads gained their composure and started to take control of the game. Ryan McGarry pulled one back but time ran out to thwart the attempted come back. However, with a few positional switches and commendable resolve, the lads bounced back to win four of their next five matches, beating Strabane, Creggan, Carndonagh and Loughguille. Their only other defeat was to a well organised Bredagh outfit.
Glenarm and Bredagh finished top of the division with ten points each and go forward to the final next Saturday. All Saints were a close third with eight points.
The lads were disappointed to miss out on a final place; however they can be proud of their achievement. They showed that they can compete at the top level and the experience will stand to them for the rest of the season.
Cormac Lemon and Eoghan Daly were real steadying influences in goals and full back respectively. Eoghan’s sound defensive play and positional sense, and Cormac’s assured goal keeping controlled the pace of the games and allowed the mid field pairing of Ryan McGarry and Conor O’Rawe to express themselves. Following his exploits in the previous week’s preliminary round, where he had scored thirteen goals, Ryan came under some close attention by the opposition. He worked tirelessly, winning a lot of possession and breaking ball for team mates as well as netting four fine goals in the process. Conor O’Rawe relished his role in mid field and took his scoring chances when they presented, including two thunderous shots from midfield. Up front Cormac Magill had his best day’s outing in All Saints colours. He chased every ball, and invariably took the right option when in possession, laying off some smart passes and latching onto every scoring opportunity that came his way. When possession was lost, he was the first line of defence and his tenacious tackling unnerved the opposition and did not allow them to settle
Ruairi McAllsiter and Sinead McGarry were earning their first caps at this grade. They did well when introduced and we are confident that we will see plenty more of them in the future.

Safety Notice for Parents and Guardians
The car park and driveway are quite dark at night and can be busy with traffic especially when children are being left off and picked up. This creates a hazard for children. We would ask all parents/ guardians leaving or collecting children to adhere to the following procedures that are intended to safeguard the safety of children attending the training sessions.
- When dropping children off please escort them to the hall. Do not allow children to run into the hall from the car park unaccompanied.
- When collecting children please come into the hall to pick them up. Do not beckon children to leave the hall from the corridor – this causes confusion and creates difficulty in checking which children have been picked up.
- If you notice an unaccompanied child in the car park or driveway, please escort them back to the hall and inform one of the coaches.
Remember – no children should be outside without an adult.
- Please arrive in time to collect your child. If you anticipate that you may be delayed please inform one of the coaches.
- Please note that we are unable to look after younger children during the second session. Parents are asked to collect children promptly; anyone with another child attending the second session is welcome to remain.
- Please tell your children about these arrangements.
