U10 Hurlers Take Indoor League Title
Last Saturday saw the culmination of the North Antrim U10 Indoor Hurling League, with twelve teams battling for six sectional titles at Seven Towers Leisure Centre.
Forty six teams from five counties entered the competition three weeks ago. They were divided into six sections and the two top ranked teams from each section went forward to the finals.
Our U10s won all their matches last week to qualify for the Section 4 final against Carndonagh. The two teams had met previously with All Saints edging the contest 4:2, so the lads were feeling confident as they lined out.
Carndonagh started well and at half time were in the lead by a goal to no score. The lads held their nerve and showed great character by sticking to their game plan to turn the match around in the second half. They scored three unanswered goals to run out eventual winners. Final score: All Saints 3 – Carndonagh 1.
At the award presentation, Cormac Lemon and Ryan McGarry accepted the winner’s trophy on behalf of the squad.

U10 Hurlers Reach Final of Indoor League
Our U10 hurlers qualified for the final of the North Antrim Indoor League today (07th Feb). They finished top of their section, beating Sean Stinson’s, Cushendall, Glenavy, Carndonagh and Glenarm along the way. They will play Carndonagh who also qualified after they beat Cushendall in a play off for second place.
There was strong performances throughout, with solid goal keeping, mean defence and ruthless attack laying the foundation for solid team work.
The final will be played next Saturday at Seven Towers Leisure Centre. The lads will feel confident about their chances. However as the credit crunch and turmoil in the stock market has shown; past results are no guarantee of future performance. Management will guard against complacency and the lads will be back training on Wednesday night.
We hope everyone will come along to the leisure centre next Saturday to support the team and hopefully see them lift the first silverware for the club this year.
